Daily Geography Practice - Grade 3 - Evan-Moor - Timberdoodle Review

My 8 year old son and I were recently given the chance to review Daily Geography Grade 3 forTimberdoodle. Daily Geography Grade 3 is a pretty good size workbook consisting of 160 pages. Within those pages are easy to understand maps, questions to be answered by using the maps and toward the back is a word glossary, which is very useful in my opinion. In addition the the workbook portion, the back of the book contains transparencies of each map that would come in handy in a group setting, if you happen to own an overhead projector

The book teaches your child how to read simple maps, how to use a map key, compass rose, map grids, map scales, geography vocabulary and geographical facts. It's a great tool to teach these skills without being too rigid or boring. My son has actually enjoyed using Daily Geography Grade 3 and did not find any of it too terribly difficult. He found the maps and directions to be clear and easy to understand

We will definitely use this book again in the future with our other children. Daily Geography Grade 3 is a great additional to our 3rd Grade curriculum. Can't beat curriculum that our children actually enjoy, right!? My only minor criticism is that some of the artistry on the maps and map keys could be more clear to make them a little bit easier to understand.

This book is incorporated in Timberdoodle's 3rd Grade Complete Curriculum Package, As well as being available to be purchased on it's own as a supplement. Timberdoodle has a large variety of educational materials, educational games and all sorts of hands on kits that you can see on their website or in their Free Catalog.

As a member of Timberdoodle's Blogger Review Team I received a free copy of Daily Geography Grade 3 in exchange for a frank and unbiased review.
